24th Annual Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot – Edenmill – 17th June 2023 9.00 am
The last few years has been very strange indeed but hopefully that’s us back to the new norm. The Wooden Spoon Society again is this year’s nominated charity, we are keen to make the 2023 event even more successful and hope that you will again support this Charity Event by entering, at least 1 team of 4 – more if you wish. The entry fee is £ 35.00 per person with the balance payable on the day.
Only felt wad cartridges can be used this year – if required these will be available for purchase on the day.
This year prizes will be awarded for –
- The Open Team Competition – Shield & £ 60.00 to the winning team,
- 2nd placed team £ 40.00 and 3rd placed team £ 20.00
- Rugby Club Team Competition – The Sterling Finance Trophy
- Rugby Club member with highest score – Morton Memorial Cup
- Highest female gun – Edenmill Farm & Nursery Trophy
- Highest male gun – The T&D Temperature Services Cup.
- Youth Cup – presented by Lorimer & Findlay.
- Harris Flush Cup – for teams of 4 (£ 5.00 per person entry fee)
Any set of 4 shooters wishing to enter under 2 different team names must complete 1 full circuit before setting out as the 2nd named team. Please note that, as a legal requirement, at least 1 team member must hold a valid gun licence and that they, as team captain, must take responsibility for any persons in their team without a licence. As in past years, any ties will be decided using the points scored at stands 2; 3; 4; 5 & 1. If the competition remains tied, a sudden death shoot out will be held at the pull trap.
The prize giving will take place around 5.00 pm at Edenmill Farm where the barbeque and bar will again be in place along with the raffle and auction. We are still looking for a main sponsor and small banner sponsorship please contact me.
There will again be a Pool Trap Event with a 1st prize of a 1 gallon bottle of whisky (entry fee £ 2.00 per attempt or 3 for £ 5.00). This can be treated as a warm up with the play off taking place adjacent to the barbeque area between 3.00 and 3.30 pm. Have as many attempts as you like, but only 3 lives per person can be carried forward to the play-off.
